Special pages are provided to make adding content easier.
Meeting location -- this will let you embed a map to the meeting site. It also allows you to have text of your choice above the map
Calendar - this shows the chapter's calendar, normally a TeamUp calendar. You can put content above the calendar

News - a news manager is available -- it is useful if you want to create a blog-like feature, it is also useful for anything ressembling a news feed. Its advantage is that you don't have to create and format hugely complicated pages -- just create a lot of much shorter announcements.
Feeds - some themes have special pages for embedding facebook and twitter feeds. If you need this and your theme does not offer it, contact the WebTeam -- we can create these
Other templates
Some special pages require special templates. These are chosen as page options using "Page Options +". Other templates enable special formatting for home pages, or pages without sidebars.
Themes provide one or more templates...think of these as special ways to display your pages
There is always a default template that should be used unless you tell it otherwise.

Special home pages -- most themes do not have these, but a few do -- a good example is the template -- it has at least 5 home page options.
To use a special template, go to Page Options + and pick from the available templates for your theme.
