This is a live calendar page!
FNPS uses the TeamUp calendar, and all chapters are required to use that calendar.
A calendar has a chapter's event plus any FNPS-wide events that chapter members would likely want to know about.
Optionally, your chapter can also display events from nearby chapters. You have to balance this -- we know of times when a neighboring chapter has overwhelmed the chapter with their events -- you likely would not want to share their calendar, or you might want to share it as a link and not as a calendar.
Calendar events can be fancy -- they can have images and lots of detail.
We strongly recommend that you put the chapter name into every event title - on the master calendar, it makes it obvious, beyond color coding, which event belongs to your chapter.
When you show this page, be sure to specify the template calendar.php.
Using your Calendar
Your chapter has an edit URL and a display URL. This page uses your display URL (users can read but not edit).
If you do not have your display URL, please contact the Web Team.
The first time that you use this site, you need to make sure that you are showing the correct version of your chapter's read-only calendar. The TeamUp URL goes into a component -- they all look alike, and only the calendar id in the theme's calendar component needs to be changed If not clear, the Web Team can help you.
You can also change default calendar options (not recommended without consultation).
Star an Upcoming Event
You don't need to do this if you put good information into your calendar, But if you need to supply information not in the calendar, you can put it here and it will show above the calendar just like this text is showing above the calendar.
The only difference between this and any other page that you edit is that the calendar shows below your text.
